A frustrated grade school student, Vashti seems beaten by the blank piece of paper before her. "I just CAN'T draw!" she tells her teacher. Her art teacher challenges her to draw a dot. When Vashti sees her finished dot on display behind the teacher's desk, she decides she can do better. She started drawing so many dots, red dots, orange dots, big dots, small dots, and suddenly she had so many great ideas about drawing the dots. One day, a little girl stood in front of her dot paintings. "I love your dots. You are a great artist." She told Vashti. Vashti smiled at her and said, "Let's draw a dot."
"Let's draw a dot", Vashti told me.
